CLASSES

SM (Swedish Championship) in trail running consist of both senior- and veteran classes. This means that everyone born 1989 or earlier compete in both the senior championship and in ”their” veteran class. The veteran classes are divided in five year intervals. (M/F 35 born 1985-89, M/F 40 born 1980-84, M/F 45 born 1975-79 etc.)

TEAM SM

Within the framework of the SM competitions, the Team SM with men's & women's classes, seniors, of 80 km is also decided. To get results in the team competition, an association must have at least three men or ladies completing the race. The team's result is the sum of the placings in the individual SM competition, senior class, for the three best runners in the team. The team with the lowest total wins the team competition. In order for the team competition to take place, it is required that at least three teams have at least three runners registered in the SM class and that at least two teams come to the start with at least three runners.

SM-ELIGIBILITY

To participate in SM a runner must represent a member association of Svenska Friidrottsförbundet. Runners who have participated in a sanctioned athletics event (track, terrain, road or trail) during 2023 or 2024 are tied to continue representing their latest association, or to register a transfer lateste one month before SM.

A foreign citizen can be eligible for SM if the following terms are fulfilled and the runner has a valid race permit from Svenska Friidrottsförbundet:

1. The runner has been registered in Sweden and primarily been living in Sweden for at least a year
2. The runner has a permission from the home country national association to represent a Swedish association and
3. The runner will not compete in a national championship in the home country during the same calendar year.

AGE LIMIT

To participate in SM in trail running  the runner must turn at least 17 years during the calendar year, i.e. be born 2007 or earlier.

REGISTRATION FOR SM 80 KM

NOTE! The absolute last date to register for SM/VSM is Friday 8/3 (registrations/name changes after this date participate in the race, but NOT in SM/VSM)!

To participate in SM you register like everyone else to our 80 km race distance "ENKLE" 50 miles latest Friday March 8 and double check you are eligible according to the above criterias. Note! Double check also the start list after registration that you under "club" have entered the correct association and that it is a member in Svenska Friidrottsförbundet:

Note! If you are a member in Wisby Ultralöparförening (organizer of GotRun Trail Fest): To participate in SM  you must enter "Wisby Ultralöparförening" as a club when registering for the race.

Elite runners have a reduced registration fee to SM 80 km (870 kr for 80 km). To qualify as an elite runner you need to have 785 or higher ITRA performance index as a man and as a woman 660 or hither. To register as an elite runner, first sign up like everyone else and pay the regular fee - then contact us after info@runraisers.com with you name, your association, and you current ITRA performance index. We will then reimburse you.

Note! Of course you can run "Enkle" 50 miles even if you are not in a club, then you just don't participate in SM/VSM as well.
